If you are going to take payments online, this is a very common question. We make it easy, with no jargon and with a Spanish small business in mind.
The easiest to set up. You accept card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and also Bizum (on Spanish accounts), without going through the bank. It charges a small fee per sale and, for most small businesses, it is where we would start.
The mobile payment everyone uses in Spain. It is not really a gateway in itself: it is enabled through Stripe or Redsys. It gives the customer a lot of confidence because it feels familiar.
It is your bank's «virtual card terminal». It can work out cheaper on fees if you sell a lot, though you have to arrange it with the bank and setting it up is a bit more of a hassle.
Everyone knows it and it takes a moment to add. It works very well as a secondary button, alongside card.
What matters is not the brand of the gateway, but that the customer can pay however is comfortable for them and that the fees add up for what you invoice.
