It works for aesthetics clinics, aesthetic medicine and surgery, laser hair removal, micropigmentation, high-end hair salons, spas or hair clinics. The treatment changes, but the decision pattern is the same: the client searches, looks at believable results and books with whoever inspires the most trust.
What a client really looks for before booking
An aesthetics booking almost always springs from an insecurity. The client —often unsure or a little embarrassed— wants to answer three questions on your website:
- Is this result real and believable? Authentic before/after photos, neither stock images nor retouched. Credibility is your first asset.
- Will I be in good hands? Who treats you, their training, the clinic from the inside and the care they take. Nobody puts their face in a stranger's hands.
- How do I book with no obligation? A clear button to request an appointment or an initial assessment: WhatsApp, phone or online booking.
If your website does not answer all three honestly, the client grows wary and goes off to compare. In aesthetics, trust is proven with evidence, not shouted.
The six elements your aesthetics website should have
In order of impact:
- A first screen with a real result: what treatments you offer, for whom and where, with a booking or assessment button visible without scrolling.
- Authentic before/after photos, with consent. It is what converts most in aesthetics and what gets faked most: use real photos of your patients, with their written permission.
- Real reviews on display: verifiable Google ratings. The aesthetics client reads every review before deciding.
- Frictionless booking or assessment. Many treatments start with an initial consultation: make it easy with WhatsApp one click away and a tap-to-call number.
- Treatments explained without jargon: what it is, for whom, whether it hurts, how many sessions and what aftercare. Answering questions reduces fear and ranks on Google.
- Visible professionalism and compliance: qualifications, health registration if applicable, legal notice and privacy. In aesthetic medicine, moreover, take care with healthcare advertising.
The Truth Guard: what you cannot promise
This is what separates a serious clinic from one that burns its reputation. In aesthetics —and especially in aesthetic medicine— the law and common sense draw lines:
- No «guaranteed results» or «no risks». No treatment is; promising it is misleading advertising and destroys trust the moment a client does not experience it that way.
- Before/after with no manipulation: same light, same angle and no filters. A real, modest result convinces more than a spectacular one nobody believes.
- Honest prices and «from» figures. If you put «from 49 €», make it true and make clear what it includes. A misled client does not return, and tells others.
Telling the truth brings you the right client, the one who stays. Trust is your product.
Local SEO: getting found when people search «your treatment in your city»
The vast majority look for a clinic near home or work. Three levers, in order:
- Your Google listing (Google Business Profile), where the nearby client decides: correct category, opening hours, real photos of the clinic and of results, list of treatments and replying to every review.
- Reviews in quantity and fresh. Ask every satisfied client with an easy link; in aesthetics, volume and freshness are decisive.
- One page per treatment. «Laser hair removal in your city» or «hyaluronic acid in your city», each with its own fast, clear page, rank far better than a generic website.
Data, image and GDPR: the detail almost nobody takes care of
In aesthetics you handle sensitive data and, above all, your clients' image. Getting it right protects you and conveys seriousness:
- Written image consent for every before/after you publish. Without it, you cannot use that photo on the website or on the Google listing.
- Minimal forms with clear consent, linking to your privacy policy. Never request health data through an open web form.
- HTTPS always and a provider that hosts the data in the European Union, with legal notice and privacy policy tailored to your activity.
Digital ownership: do not let your clinic be held hostage
The most expensive mistake we see: the website, the domain, the email and the Google listing in the name of the agency or the IT person, not the clinic. The day you want to switch, you discover your brand, your photos and your reviews are not yours.
Check that you control the eight keys to your presence: domain, hosting, website, email, Analytics, Google listing and pixel. If something is not in your name, demand it in writing.
How to measure whether it works (beyond visits)
An aesthetics clinic does not need «more followers»: it needs more appointments. Measure what matters:
- Clicks to WhatsApp, calls and bookings from the website and from the Google listing.
- Assessment requests and how many turn into treatment.
- New reviews per month and the percentage answered (the target is 100 %).
- Your position on the map for the key treatments, checking it in incognito each week.
«Likes» do not fill the calendar; assessment appointments do.
A measurable benchmark: annapsi.com
It is not an aesthetics clinic, but a health website (psychology) that we built with this same approach —trust, E-E-A-T and a sound technical base— and bring as a reference for the measurable standard we apply. Its real Google Lighthouse metrics on mobile, measured on 15 June 2026 and published with Anna's permission: 100 in SEO, 99 in performance, 100 in best practices and CLS 0 (no layout shifts). Only what has been measured.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I publish before/after photos of my clients? Yes, but only with their written image consent and without manipulating the photo. It is what converts most and what gets faked most.
- Do I absolutely have to be on Instagram and TikTok? Social media helps in aesthetics, but the foundation is still the website, the Google listing and reviews. Without that foundation, social media brings glances, not appointments.
- How much does a website for an aesthetics clinic cost? It depends on what you need; it usually ranges from 900 to 3.500 €. What matters is that it is yours —domain, photos and data in your name— and that it is built to convert.
- And if an agency runs my website and I do not know what I control? Check the eight keys in five minutes and, if something is not in your name, ask for it in writing.
